Title: Security Analyst

Location: Tallahassee, Fl (32301)

Duration: 1+ Year contract

Rate: DOE

Work location will be a combination of onsite work at the client’s office in Tallahassee, Florida and remote work based on situation, to be defined on a project basis. *** (Local/Regional candidates preferred.) ***

Roles & Responsibility:        

• Assist with development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Prepare security documentation.
• Develop risk analysis and security reporting.
• Monitor and remediate software or hardware vulnerabilities.
• Evaluate current and future security tools and systems.  
• Educate IT and program areas about security policies.
• Submit and oversee change control process.
• Complies with and enforces all agency policies, procedures, and security policies.
• Provide Technical Training (Knowledge Transfer), as required for Office of Information Technology Support Staff as related to Information Technology security.
• Develop and deploy security best practices.
• Support existing security systems with requested enhancements and break fixes.
• Monitor compliance with agency information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines pertaining to network security.

Minimum Experience Required:

• 4+ years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems Analysis.
• 4+ years of experience with information technology security.
• 4+ more years of experience with Firewall policies, implementation, and best practices.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud computing and cloud computing security.
• Requires knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across all existing
• Experience in computer platforms.
• Must have a good understanding of NIST cybersecurity Framework.
• Must have a good understanding of MITRE framework.
• Must be CJIS certified or can become CJIS certified.

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field of study.
• Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for- year basis.
